Steven Crowder!

Hosted by The 912 Patriots & The Lake & McHenry County YR's
Fun and Fundraiser! Ticket Price $25 Comedy Show Then afterward ask Steven your own questions like, "how to get the youth involved?"

Steven is a 22 year old who espouses his conservative political views on current events and addresses topical issues with humor.

He was the master of ceremonies on the third day of the 2010 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

He appears on the Fox News shows Glen Beck, Red Eye, Hannity, and Fox & Friends.

He guests on radio programs with Dennis Miller and Guy Benson.

He starred as Blake in the film Bend & Break and as Doug Moore in To Save a Life, and appeared as "Jace" in an episode of the TV series Greek. He has also done voiceover work in several films.

Steven has a unique way of expressing his views and connecting with the younger generation. His works have, on various occasions, ridiculed celebrity political opinion, satirized gun control, and voiced opposition to illegal immigration. Crowder accused the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of anti-Christian bigotry, stating that "the fact that this country was founded as the first true Christian nation is what makes it the best place on earth for Jews, atheists, and Muslims alike. ... The ACLU isn't anti-religious, it's anti-Christian."

Born in Detroit, raised in Montreal, Steven Crowder really had nothing going for him until he turned twelve. It was at that age that he was awarded the (coveted) role of voicing the character "The Brain" on the hit children's TV series "Arthur" The role immediately launched him into the realm of "Babe Magnet". With this in mind, he continued down the path of acting (in both voice, TV and film) until he came to the realization that he was no longer the cute infant that Public Broadcasting had learned to love. Now that his baby-fat cheeks had left him, he knew that he needed a new "hook "to catch the ladies.

Frantically, he searched for the answer until one summer, working as manual labor for the “Just for Laughs” Comedy Festival, the art of Standup Comedy caught his eye. He approached a famous comedian and received advice on how to get started in the business, after which he was escorted from the premises, fined a hefty sum and brutally beaten. Once the feeding tube was removed, Steven sauntered on down to a local comedy club to try his hand at the trade. The throwing of vegetables and angry screams of the crowd created and incredible "rush", upon which Steven became immediately addicted and he never looked back. One year later, (at 18 years old) Steven returned to the “Just for Laughs” as the youngest Comedian ever to grace the festivals stage (breaking the previous record set by Chris Rock at 19). His act was so well received that coordinators decided to feature him on XM Radio and booked him on tours across North America.

Now, based out New York City, and fresh off of winning the Nationwide “So you Think You’re Funny” MySpace Comedy Contest, Steven Crowder continues to please both audiences and critics with his unique brand of Comedy and point of view.

Kevin Jackson

The Conservative Warrior

www.theblacksphere.net

Kevin Jackson is a father of four sons, and an unlikely success story, given his background.

He is a leader in the consulting industry in America, having some of the world’s largest companies as his clients.  Interaction with prominent business leaders, as well as being a business leader himself has provided Jackson real world perspective to politics.

“What you learn about America is people are a lot less interested in race than they are in character.”  Jackson believes that empowerment comes when you know who you are and what you stand for.

Jackson is a highly sought national speaker, and he has graced the stage with luminaries as Neal Boortz, Herman Cain, Judge Napolitano, and Andrew Breitbart, to name a few.

In addition to his Amazon best-selling The BIG Black Lie, Jackson is a regular on the Glenn Beck show, writes his almost daily blog, is a contributing writer to BigGovernment, American Thinker, and his work was recently featured in Townhall magazine.

Jackson hosts a radio show and does many guest appearances on some of the more prominent conservative radio shows around the country.

Kevin Jackson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Southern Methodist University.  He owned his own manufacturer’s representative agency in Texas and served as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for M&A Technology, a Dallas-based technology firm. Mr. Jackson has been part of the executive management team for various IT systems integration firms, notables being Hitachi Consulting and CSC Consulting, and he has provided management and IT consulting services to some of the world’s largest corporations.

THE BIG BLACK LIE – How I learned the Truth About the Democrat Party

The Amazon Best-Selling book, The BIG Black Lie is not just another Conservative political book.  The BIG Black Lie provides many humorous and poignant anecdotes, using the life of the author as historical backdrop for a black Conservative’s coming of age story.

Readers are treated to an eye-opening journey through the eyes of a black kid who had many pressures to succumb to Democrat victimology.   Jackson avoided the traps and explains how others can as well.

The product of a broken home, a deadbeat father and poverty, Jackson had all the excuses.  He humorously provides a much needed insight into the black pathology of voting monolithically Democrat, and how he escaped to become a Conservative Republican.  Jackson exposes the widely overlooked history of Democrat racism—past and present—and challenges Republicans to stop addressing Democrat tactics in the same old ways.

If you are tired of being called a racist, and you need the ammunition to battle the Left, then The BIG Black Lie is a must in your literary collection.   The BIG Black Lie makes the reader proud to be a conservative, and it teaches about the Republican Party’s history of defending the freedoms of others. Readers will become empowered by The BIG Black Lie, and they will find it a truly enjoyable read!

“Kevin tells an honest heart-wrenching story that most of us can unfortunately related to.  This is a must read for every person who grew up without a father and for those who were fortunate enough to grow up with a loving father.”  – Rev. Wayne Perryman, Theologian, author of Unfounded Loyalty

Kevin's book shows first hand that no one ever has a reason for being a perpetual victim.  His raw, revealing, honest story about his father and upbringing only reaffirms that regardless of your circumstances, one can still find a foundation of values and virtues in their lives, that can assure them success in all walks of life.  This should be a must read for all high schools and libraries.”Armstrong Williams, Conservative Political Pundit, Columnist, and Radio Show Host

"Kevin has the incredible gift of presenting his intellectual abilities and deep understanding of sociopolitical issues in a captivating way. I find his articles and presentations to be simultaneously informative, refreshing, uplifting, and witty." - Laurencia C.D.L. duSantos, Doctoral Candidate, American School of Professional Psychology

Joe Walsh

Joe Walsh has been a hardworking American from the jump – and he’s dedicated his professional life to service. He has advocated on behalf of a wide range of public policy issues and causes, most notably advancing market-based solutions to education reform and urban poverty. Rather than spending time in an ivory tower speculating on theory, he has had his boots on the ground for a number of relevant companies, causes and disciplines.

  • in inner-city Chicago, he worked with Jobs for Youth, teaching basic academic and job skills to high school dropouts
  • he advanced the issue of school choice while working for The Heartland Institute, a Midwest free market think tank
  • he was the Executive Director of the Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund overseeing an annual budget of $2M. The fund is a Chicago-based privately funded school voucher program which gives high school scholarships to low-income students
  • he helped launch the Legislative Education Action Drive and Americans for Limited Government organizations, national organizations working to get fiscally conservative state legislators elected in targeted states and advance the causes of limited government
  • he raised funds for two of the nation’s leading school choice organization, the American Education Reform Council and the Milton & Rose Friedman Foundation
  • he continues to raise funds and build support for the Fabretto Children’s Foundation, an international charity which uses education and micro-enterprise to deliver Nicaraguan children from poverty raising nearly $1M the past five years: the

For the past couple of years, Joe has worked with Ravenswood Advisors, a Chicago-based boutique investment banking group focused on raising early stage investment capital for new and small businesses and entrepreneurs. He consulted with the United Republican Fund, an Illinois-based state PAC helping to elect Republican state legislators.

Joe Calomino

Joe Calomino has worked in the field of government affairs and state politics for the last 17 years. During his career, Calomino has worked as a government liaison for various state constitutional officers, as a political strategist for state and local officials, and as a grassroots organizer and activist.

Currently, Calomino is the state director for the Illinois chapter of Americans for Prosperity (AFP-IL). Americans for Prosperity is one of the premier grassroots citizen lobbyist organizations in the country with over 900,000 members nationwide. Americans for Prosperity is a citizen watchdog organization focused on promoting the free-market and issues such as budget reform, lower taxes, government transparency and accountability.

The Illinois chapter of Americans for Prosperity was formed in August of 2006. AFP-IL has experienced exceptional growth in a relatively short period of time, reaching over 20,000 members throughout the state. AFP-IL has been the leader in fighting for government transparency both in the state of Illinois and the country. Over the course of the last two and a half years, AFP-IL has exposed billions of dollars worth of hidden spending in the state’s budget.

AFP-IL’s watchdog efforts prompted Calomino to work with Illinois lawmakers in developing comprehensive government transparency legislation. (HB35) “The Illinois Accountability Act” is currently being debated in the 96th General Assembly.

In July of 2008, Calomino joined with Washington DC based Judicial Watch in filing a lawsuit against the office of the Illinois governor and senate president for violations of the Freedom of Information Act. Calomino and Judicial Watch have recently provided testimony pertaining to government transparency at the recent House impeachment hearings and the newly formed “Reform Illinois Now Commission.”

Me and My HERO! Sheriff Joe Arpaio from Maricopa County Arizona

Rosanna Pulido

Rosanna Pulido March 29 at 3:44pm
Rosanna Pulido was born in Chicago in 1956, and was raised on the North Side in Wrigleyville. She was educated in Catholic grammar school and high school and attended Prairie State College.

Rosanna is a small businesswoman and an advocate senior citizens. She produced and hosted Caregivers Radio, a program dedicated to the concerns and needs of senior citizens and their families.

She is also a staunch advocate for our veterans and for those who serve in Law Enforcement.

She has worked extensively with sheriffs across the country in addressing the many problems and dangers created by illegal immigration as it relates to American citizens and our Law Enforcement Officers.

Rosanna loves Chicago, her home, and America, and has a deep concern for what she sees as the ongoing erosion of freedom and constitutional government. Her extensive political involvement has always centered on the protection of the people’s rights, particularly our Second Amendment right to defend ourselves, our families, and the nation.

In April of 2005, as concerned citizens gathered in Arizona to express their dissatisfaction with the federal government’s failure to secure our borders, our national sovereignty, and the rule of law, Rosanna felt compelled to join them. Inspired by this historic citizen activism, she came home to found the Illinois Minutemen organization.

Known for her honesty, Rosanna has earned a reputation as an expert on the effects of illegal immigration, particularly in the area of the loss of jobs and the huge burden it places on taxpayers. She has testified before the Illinois legislature and in May of 2007 was invited to Washington, DC to testify before the House Judiciary Committee. She has been a guest on countless radio and television programs throughout Illinois, and has appeared nationally on shows such as Lou Dobbs, Neil Cavuto, and CNN’s American Morning.

While many people in politics talk about “reform” and fighting corruption, she’s actually done something about it. While she may bear the Republican label, she’s hardly a darling of the leaders of either the Republican or the Democratic parties. Hers is a truly independent conservative voice. When asked to describe the purpose of her political activism in one sentence, she replied, “Let’s give this government back to the people.”

In March 2009 Rosanna Pulido won the Republican nomination for Congress in Illinois’ Fifth District, earning a spot on the ballot to fill Rahm Emanuel’s vacant seat in the special election which was in April. Unfortunately, Ms. Pulido did not win the election in a heavily Democrat district but in keeping with her view that citizens make good legislators, not career politicians, she has promised to continue her fight to champion for term limits and other causes which she supports.

The Patriot Standard Should Be The American Standard

Chicago Illinois

Rick Wos

For the last 13 years, I have studied the law, including the United States Constitution. I have litigated several cases in state and federal court. I am well versed in the law and the principles behind them. For the last 13 years of study, confrontations, and various litigation's, one thing has become very clear; the complete absence of law in our courts, our elected officials, and the numerous administrative agencies that plague our lives. Tyranny and lawlessness reign throughout the United States! Something must be done. I therefore join my fellow Patriots in defending the Constitution of the United States of America.

One of the Signers Articles of Freedom

Sheriff Mark Curran

My background includes significant business and law enforcement experience. I interned in the Lake County State’s Attorneys Office. I went to work for the Lake County State’s Attorneys Office in 1990 as an Assistant State’s Attorney. I left in 1998 after serving as a Senior Felony Prosecutor. I was promoted to Chief of the Gang Crimes Bureau. In this position, I prosecuted the street gangs from one end of the state to the other. I also served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney. I received numerous awards in the Attorney General’s Office for prosecutorial excellence. In 2002, I opened my own practice, concentrating in civil and criminal litigation. I have also spent the last 10-years teaching criminal justice at Columbia College. Many of my students have been police officers.

In 2006, I was elected Sheriff of Lake County. Since taking office on December 1, 2006, I have instituted an Ethics Policy for employees of the Sheriff’s Office. I have also submitted an application with the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement to implement the 287G Program, which will assist with the deportation of undocumented immigrants who are arrested for violent felony offenses. The Sheriff’s Office has also worked closely with the Lake County State’s Attorneys Office to reduce the number of outstanding warrants for “Deadbeat Parents.”

Recently, a Special Operations Group has been formulated. This unit was put together to respond to riots and other volatile situations which may occur within the county.

James P Brown, MD

I've been in private practice as a Urologic surgeon sine 1997.  I have served on various hospital committees, and was the Principal Investigator for the SWOG trial looking at prostate cancer prevention at Resurrection Medical Center.  I have read the health care bill.  I have attended the tax day tea party rally downtown last year, and marched in Washington on 9/12.  I also attended the Doctor's Rally against Obamacare on 9/10.  I am a member of Congressman Tom Price's Physician's Committee for Responsible Reform (which opposed Obamacare).  I am a lifelong conservative who opposes the Health Care Reform Bill because it does nothing to reform Health Care.  It reduces quality of care and access to care, especially for seniors, and masquerades as a reform while seeking only to control both the means of production and small business.  I have spent 13 years dealing with both private and government insurers, and this bill will effectively destroy the private practice of medicine in this country.

Bruno Behrend

Bruno Behrend is currently the Host of the Extreme Wisdom Radio Show on WKRS - 1220 AM broadcasting out of Waukegan, Illinois. The Extreme Wisdom Radio show features cultural and political discussion ranging across international, national, state, and local issues. The hallmark of the show is Bruno’s commitment to allowing callers to voice their views without rude interruption or being cut off. After all, why cut angry liberals, rabid populists, paleo-conservatives, and collectivists short when their ideas are so easy to refute?

The Extreme Wisdom Show is a perfect mix of college level content and conservative ideas, delivered in an intelligent, polite manner that most talk show hosts are incapable of. Think of it as a less pretentiousNPR.

Bruno has a background as a database consultant to the not-for-profit community and was formerly Field Director for FreedomWorks (www.FreedomWorks.com) in Illinois.

He has a background in various areas, including:

* Public Policy Research
* Database Consulting (specialist in fundraising software)

Throughout this entire time, Bruno has been active in the policy arena, working with various groups and candidates in Illinois to promote progressive business-friendly and market-friendly policies.

His current projects, which he discusses on his radio show and on this blog, are the passage of a Constitutional Convention in 2008, featuring a dramatic limitation to the scope and power of the Illinois Government, and a re-write of Illinois’ tax and education code which, if passed, will provide Illinois’ businesses and individual taxpayers a substantial net tax cut and universal, fully-funded scholarship for every Illinois student, redeemable at any accredited Illinois school.

Mr. Behrend currently resides in River Forest, Illinois with his wife and son.
